It's time to have inspiring conversations that focus on building B.C.'s prosperity for the years and generations to come. We need a provincial conversation about the necessary economic and investment conditions that enable us to achieve a high quality of life. It's time to work together to create a collective vision for the future based on shared values - one that can also attract the capital and talent needed to make it a reality.
To inform this process, the Business Council of B.C. has partnered with the Ottawa-based Centre for the Study of Livings Standards (CSLS) to develop the B.C. Prosperity Index. The purpose of this annual, data-supported Index is to examine and track British Columbia's performance on key measures of business, economic and social well-being, compared to the rest of Canada and other select advanced economy jurisdictions. The Index will help determine whether overall living standards in B.C. are improving over time and offer insights into what we can do to improve.
