ESG in B.C. Session 3: Meaningful engagement: People, purpose and community impact

Event Description

Watch all the past ESG in B.C. sessions here.

Join us on September 21st for the 3rd session of the five-part series, ESG in B.C.: An opportunity for a sustainable economy, presented with lead sponsor Bennett Jones and presenting sponsor Global Container Terminals. This session will feature guest speaker Dave MacLeod, CEO, ThoughtExchange and Author, Scaling Conversations.

Measuring and reporting on social measures and community impact is a complex and evolving aspect of ESG. An organization must carefully consider effective and meaningful approaches to community engagement whether that be with their internal employee community, or external partners, Indigenous communities, customers, or suppliers throughout the supply chain.

The third event in the Business Council’s ESG in B.C. Series, Meaningful engagement: People, purpose and community impact, will examine strategies, motivations and tools for firms as they seek to deepen relationships while growing a sustainable business within their extended communities.

The conversation will explore how businesses can meet shifting community expectations, the evolution of the purpose-driven business in today’s society, tactics to support meaningful engagement and how businesses can support the shared path towards economic reconciliation.
