ESG in B.C. Session 4: Building on B.C.'s advantages in the global pursuit of net-zero

Event Description

On October 7th, we held the 4th session of the five-part series, ESG in B.C.: An opportunity for a sustainable economy, presented with lead sponsor Bennett Jones and presenting sponsor Deloitte.

As Canada and British Columbia pursue opportunities to reduce greenhouse gases, business and industry are examining their roles and responsibilities in the world's effort to decarbonize. With a clean electricity grid, local innovation and robust regulatory structures, British Columbia has an opportunity to make an outsized impact in the global fight against climate change both locally, and abroad.

The next event in the Business Council of B.C.'s ESG in B.C. series, took place on Thursday, October 7th, and presented in partnership with Deloitte, explored opportunities to reduce local emissions through infrastructure networks. We also looked at our province's low carbon advantage as the producer of lower carbon-intensive natural resources for the global export market.
