The Business Council of British Columbia hosted a sold-out crowd for the Fifth Annual Chair’s Dinner on Wednesday, June 7th. It was a pleasure to have so many Business Council members, First Nations Chiefs and guests come together.
Our keynote speaker, Jeffrey Simpson, award winning former national affairs columnist, shared his insights on Canada at 150 and our nation's partnerships with the United States, new challenges and opportunities in a complex world.
Jeffrey was joined by Christopher Sands (Director of the Center for Canadian Studies, Johns Hopkins University) and Martha Hall Findlay (President & CEO, Canada West Foundation) for a candid conversation around the formidable task of strategically managing our trade and diplomatic relations with our largest trading partner, and others, in an increasingly protectionist global landscape.
Thank you to our sponsors for their generous support: Microsoft (Leader Sponsor); Langara College and McCarthy Tetrault LLP (Partner Sponsors); Encana and Mitsubishi's Cutbank Ridge Partnership, Port of Vancouver, and Seaspan (Supporting Sponsors).
