A higher level of concern about tax increases emerged from an online survey taken in the same week by Ipsos Public Affairs and released Tuesday by the B.C. Business Council.
It found “83 per cent of British Columbians are very or somewhat worried about the government’s ability to maintain services without increasing taxes.”
Neither of these findings was grounded in the immediate threat of tax increases, but rather in the view that today’s overspending will have to be paid back some day and probably by higher taxes.
